Profit Boost Hedge Calculator
A profit boost raises the winnings on one bet by a percentage, sometimes up to a maximum. This calculator turns the boost into a price, then sizes a bet on the other side of the market so the result is about the same either way, and shows what the boost added compared with the same hedge at regular odds.
With the boost, a $50 bet at +150 pays like +225. Hedging $101 at -165 gives a calculated result of +$11.21, whichever side wins.

How the math works
The extra winnings are stake × (decimal odds − 1) × boost%, limited by the maximum if the promotion has one. Dividing that extra by the stake and adding it to the decimal odds gives the boosted price: a 50% boost turns +150 (2.50) into +225 (3.25).
Because your stake is cash, the hedge bet is H = S × boosted decimal ÷ dB, where dB is the decimal odds on the other side. The result is S × (boosted decimal − 1) − H if the boosted bet wins, and the same amount if the hedge wins.
Compare that with the same hedge at regular odds: the difference is what the boost is worth to you.

What changes the result
- The boost applies to winnings, not stake
- A 50% boost adds half again to what you'd win, not to what you bet.
- A cap limits bigger stakes
- If the boost has a maximum, a bigger stake stops adding value once the cap is reached.
- Favorites gain little
- Short odds have small winnings to boost. The boost is worth most on longer odds, as long as the other side is priced fairly.
- Shop the other side
- The result depends on the best price you can find for the opposite outcome. A few cents there can outweigh the boost.
- Check the rules
- Boost tokens can carry stake limits, minimum odds, market restrictions and expiry dates.
Frequently asked questions
What is a profit boost?
A profit boost is a sportsbook promotion that increases the winnings on a bet by a percentage, often up to a maximum. It changes the price you're paid at, not the stake you risk.
How do I hedge a profit boost?
Place the boosted bet, then bet the opposite side of the same market at another sportsbook, sized so both outcomes pay about the same. This calculator does that sizing.
Does the boost apply to my stake?
No. The boost applies to the winnings. Your stake is returned as usual when the bet wins.
Why is my result negative?
If the boosted price isn't much better than the best price for the other side, the sportsbooks' margins can outweigh the boost. A bigger boost, a higher maximum, or a better price on the other side would change that.
Is the result locked in?
The calculator shows the result at the odds you enter. Odds move and bets can be voided or limited. Confirm both prices in the apps before placing either bet.
